Kaiser Medical Office Building, Carmel Valley

Project Overview

Michael Wall Engineering provided electrical construction documents for a 50,000SF 2-story Medical Office Building for Kaiser Permanente located in the Carmel Valley area of San Diego, CA.  The scope of work consisted of 34,000SF medical office improvements (OSHPD 3) and 16,000SF of shell space. Included are medical exam rooms, a 3,000SF pharmacy, a designated x-ray room and administrative offices. A 1600A 480Y/277V 3 Phase 4 Wire switchboard was been provided for the project. A power conditioner was provided for the x-ray equipment to generate clean power. A 30kVA central UPS was provided for back-up of the telecommunications and data systems. Telecommunications pathways and infrastructure were designed in coordination with Kaiser IT personnel.  Energy efficient lighting has been designed in compliance with Title 24 requirements. Automatic lighting control systems were designed including motion sensors and lighting control panels.
