Project Overview

This 240,000SF LEED Gold design/build student housing complex consists of four 5-story housing buildings and one 13-story high rise Housing building, one 2-story Market/ Administration building and one 1-story Bistro building. The project consists 807 apartment-style beds configured in 150 furnished four bedroom apartment units. This project included a 4,600SF bistro, a 4,300SF administrative/event/office space and a 4,800SF café/market.

Michael Wall Engineering designed the project’s power, architectural lighting, landscape lighting, voice/data infrastructure, and 350kW high-rise emergency power system. Site development included extension of the campus 12kV underground power loop as well as substration transformers that provide 480V and 208V systems at each building. The highly energy efficient lighting design achieved a Lighting Power Density (W/SF) 26% below the Title 24 energy budget and consisted of LED exterior area, roadway and pathway lighting.
