LEED Silver: In Construction
Michael Wall Engineering, Inc. produced electrical construction documents for this new, multi-tenant, warm-shell project in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego, CA. The building is a 4-story 108,750SF commercial office facility, designed to be certified LEED CS Silver. Comprehensive power systems design, including a new main electrical service entrance for the overall site including utility coordination was provided, as was an inverter to integrate a 60kW roof-mounted photovoltaic canopy design into the entire building electrical system. The interior lighting is 33% below Title 24 and the exterior parking lot lighting is 50% below Title 24. The building met with the LEED light pollution credit by having 0.2 footcandles at the project boundary and 0.01 footcandles 15' away from the property line by using full cut off forward throw optics on the light fixtures with house side shields.
