This $35 Million, 250,000SF, 5-story facility houses a traditional library, information systems labs with state of the art electronic technologies, wireless communication centers, electronic production labs, lecture rooms, and administrative offices. High performance lighting and specialty controls were designed to interface with the campus controls. The systems are integrated with the campus wide energy management systems. The building also features dual 12kV service feeds to the 2500kVA indoor substation, sophisticated microprocessor-based lighting control systems, computer labs, television studios, and 250kW of standby emergency power. Indirect and direct lighting systems provide very uniform vertical illumination on book stacks. The Kellogg Library is the most prominent structure on campus and is easily seen from all campus entries.
