Michael Wall Engineering, Inc. joined the Newcomb Anderson/Emcor design/build team for this 12.6MW simple-cycle cogeneration facility including four (4) 3.165MW Fairbanks Morse dual-fuel gas reciprocating engines. The engines are equipped with Baylor/National Oil well generators. The power generated by this project is sufficient to serve the entire Goodrich manufacturing plant located at the Chula Vista site. The system was designed to integrate into the existing Goodrich Main Electrical Service at 12.0kV and interfaces with the San Diego Gas & Electric service entrance at the Montgomery Substation. The paralleling switchgear was procured in the early design stages to maintain the fast track construction schedule. Michael Wall Engineering, Inc. provided a detailed control logic design and a sequence of operations for the programming of the paralleling switchgear.
