Clinical Research Laboratory
Berkeley, California

This 27,000 square foot clinical research laboratory was integrated into an existing 50,000 square foot shell office building. The interior laboratory space was designed to provide the researchers and lab technicians a wide-open space plan for team style process and production interaction. The laboratory areas contain research and development labs, chemistry and microscopy labs, coagulation and hematology labs and a toxicology lab. The blood processing area contains sophisticated, production line conveyor style automated blood processing equipment. Selected laboratory areas and equipment are provided with stand-by and/or UPS power to provide reliable service to critical operations.
