Michael Wall Engineering, Inc. provided electrical design for portions of this distinctive $85 million, luxury hotel located in downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, including Maryjane’s Coffee Shop, and two unique Gerber Bars. The first, Moonstone Lounge, is a private 4th floor poolside bar for patrons and special events. It is complete with private cabanas, flat screen TV’s and a state-of-the-art sound system. The other, Sweetwater Saloon, is a laid-back, street side lounge that features private tables with individual beer taps for the ultimate in self-service. Design included electrical construction documents for all three projects inclusive of extensive food service coordination, featured dining area lighting coordination, patio dining features, and extensive lighting control schemes and audio visual systems. The 4,500SF Sweetwater Saloon complimented the historic aspect of the project by preserving portions of The “National City Otay Railroad Depot” building. The 4th level Moonstone Lounge is quickly becoming the premier social gathering area as the lounge spills into the 8,000SF pool deck area that boasts a jacuzzi, various fire pits and scenic views of the Gaslamp Quarter.
