Michael Wall Engineering, Inc. provided electrical construction documents for a new tenant improvement at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems totaling approximately 200,000SF in four (4) buildings at the Spectrum Development in Kearny Mesa, San Diego, CA. The improvements include testing laboratories, training rooms, SCIF rooms, a cafeteria and dining area, research and development, office, and office support space. Michael Wall Engineering also provided specialty lighting and controls design, and programming for the entire electrical system. The design and subsequent electrical program data was published for owner review and approval on a fast-track basis. New 4000A 480Y/277V main service entrances were designed for each building utilizing existing SDG&E underground service conduits, as well as a 60kVA UPS System. Detailed design of the horizontal signal cabling infrastructure was performed by a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
