This detailed project consisted of electrical construction documents for the 19,967SF Aircraft Maintenance Hangar at MCAS, Yuma. The design elements within the project include site lighting design for parking areas, aircraft area lighting for taxiways and parking aprons, interior lighting design, including hangar lighting, egress lighting, and office lighting. Also, included were mass notification, branch circuit power, lightning protection, aircraft grounding, and 400Hz power system designs. The building features a sophisticated electric fire pump system tied into the building electrical service. The site power distribution design features the underground extension of an existing 12kV overhead utility service to a new 12kV pad-mount transformer.
